Pupils at Stiwdio Pen-y-Cae have been learning about Welsh democratic processes. On Thursday 6th May, three candidates stood for our mock election. Mr Matthew Hughes (Conservative), Miss Charlotte Blackwell (Labour) and Mrs Roxanne Wakerley (Plaid Cymru) presented their respective manifestos to all of the pupils. On Friday 7th March, the reporting officer Mr Stephen Bell announced the results in assembly. Plaid Cymru won the election with 70% of the vote, Conservative secured 20% of the vote and Labour 10% of the vote. All of the pupils engaged very well with the event.
